27 public recreational parks built in the capita under corridor dev’t

Addis Ababa, February 6, 2025 (FMC) – The Addis Ababa City Administration Public Recreational Areas Corporation announced that 27 public recreational parks have been built in the capital as part of the corridor development works.

The corporation’s manager, Ms. Netsanet Daba, said that the corporation is working to make sure that the public recreational parks developed by the government and various stakeholders are rendering appropriate services. She said that her office is also carrying out various works to ensure that public recreational parks provide convenient services to the community.

She pointed out that the corridor development works in the capital have taken into account public recreational areas, and said that the corporation has taken over 27 public recreational areas that have been built and completed so far.

Ms. Netsanet stated that efforts are being made to make public recreational parks accessible to all areas, develop them, and renovate the existing ones, noting that there are a total of 57 public recreational parks in Addis Ababa.

She noted that the services of public recreational parks under the corporation are mostly free and that a small amount of revenue is collected to cover various services in few parks.
