Ethiopian envoy welcomes Kyrgyzstan’s decision to open its mission in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, March 26, 2025 (FMC) – Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Kyrgyzstan with Residence in Islamabad, has welcomed the decision of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to open its mission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The decision to this effect came in the backdrop of Ambassador Jemal’s crucial visit to the Kyrgyz Republic for credential presentation, and a subsequent reciprocal visit to Addis Ababa by a high-level delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Asein Isaev.
Following this decision, Ambassador Jemal has visited the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Islamabad to formally convey the Ethiopian Government’s special thanks to Avazbek Atakhanov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual and common interest, including initiatives for strengthening bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation between the two nations.
On the occasion, Ambassador Jemal emphasized that the opening of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Addis Ababa would significantly enhance political, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries.
In response, the Kyrgyz Ambassador commended Ambassador Jemal’s role in strengthening relations between the two countries and assured him of full support for further expanding bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation.
