Addis Ababa to host Russia-Africa International Forum for Journalists this month
Addis Ababa, April 2, 2025 (FMC) – The Alpha-Dialogue Centre for Additional Professional Education, with support from the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, will host an international forum for journalists titled “Russia-Africa: The Way of Friendship and Cooperation” later this month.
The forum will take place in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, from April 22 to 23, 2025.
According to the organizers, the international forum aims to create a broad platform for facilitating interaction between Russian and African media outlets, focusing on fostering new connections and bringing together leading journalists from across the continent.
Representatives from prominent Russian media will be present, alongside journalists from Botswana, Ghana, Guinea, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and Ethiopia.
The programme features analytical reports, a roundtable for experience exchange, and discussion platforms, according to KBC.
In addition to in-person events, the forum will also host online sessions, including a teleconference titled “The Way of Friendship and Cooperation,” as well as four lectures focusing on Russian-African interactions.
The Alpha-Dialogue Centre is a socially-oriented non-profit organization that implements educational, cultural, and cognitive projects, as well as additional professional development programmes for both children and adults.
