Agew Equestrian Festival Set to Boost Festival Tourism Revenue – Billene Seyoum
Addis Ababa, January 31, 2025 (FMC) – Billene Seyoum, Press Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the Agew Equestrian Festival is poised to become a significant source of revenue through festival tourism.
In a recent social media post celebrating the 85th anniversary of the Agew Equestrian Association, Seyoum reflected on her experience attending the 81st Agew Horsemen Festival four years ago, expressing her joy at the vibrant atmosphere created by the festival’s unique foods, music, costumes, and the captivating horse shows.
She emphasized her excitement over the inclusion of female horsemen in this year’s festivities, highlighting the potential for the current national climate to create new opportunities. Seyoum expressed confidence that the festival will attract both domestic and international visitors, citing the area’s stability and commitment to peace as key factors in holding the event annually.
