Addis Ababa, February 22, 2025 (FMC) — Addis Ababa has been selected to host the fourth G25 African Coffee Summit in 2027, the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Temesgen Truneh confirmed in a social media post today.
Note that Deputy PM Temesgen is participating in the third G25 African Coffee Summit in Dar es Salaam.
T”he birthplace of coffee, home to the rich and sought-after flavors of Coffea Arabica, is right here in Africa. At the 3rd G25 African Coffee Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, leaders came together to strengthen research and cooperation, unlocking the full potential of our continent’s coffee industry,” Temesgen noted.
As Africa’s top coffee producer, Ethiopia is driving results through bold reforms, increasing revenue and opportunity in the sector, he asserted.
Under the theme Unlocking Employment Opportunities for Youth through the Regeneration of the African Coffee Industry, the summit’s participants are engaged in critical discussions on how to stimulate growth and create widespread jobs, it was mentioned
In response to Ethiopia’s proposal, the summit decided that Addis Ababa would host the fourth G25 African Coffee Summit in 2027—an opportunity we embrace with deep responsibility, Deputy Premier Temesgen said.
