Addis Ababa, April 9, 2025 (FMC) – Indian business delegation hailing from Progress Harmony Development Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and KLJ Group of Industries is set to visit Ethiopia in June, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in New Delhi.
Enhancing trade and investment ties between India and Ethiopia was a key discussion point during a meeting between Deputy Head of the Ethiopian Embassy in the Indian capital Ambassador Molalign Asfaw and President of PHDCCI & Managing Director of KLJ Group of Industries Mr. Hemant Jain.
On the occasion, both sides discussed enhancing trade and investment ties between India and Ethiopia, the Embassy said today.
The Ambassador highlighted Ethiopia’s diverse investment opportunities and encouraged PHDCCI to explore these prospects.
In response, Mr. Hemant Jain expressed interest in investing in Ethiopia and plans for a delegation to visit the country in June 2025.
PHDCCI, representing over 130,000 members, is authorized by the Indian government to issue certificates of origin for Indian exporters, while KLJ Group is a leading manufacturer of plasticizers in India and South Asia.
