Addis Ababa, February 25, 2025 (FMC) – The Prosperity Party recently convened discussions with members of the diplomatic community in Addis Ababa to share insights on the decisions and strategies established during its 2nd congress.
Bikila Hurissa (PhD), the party’s Head of Public and International Relations, emphasized that the resolutions made during the congress are intended to improve the welfare of citizens. He noted that the primary aim of the current discussions is to provide clear information to diplomats and international organizations regarding the party’s plans and initiatives.
Bikila highlighted the importance of these conversations in fostering consensus on critical issues that could facilitate collaborative efforts.
Nebiyu Sehul, the Director of International Relations at the party headquarters, presented an overview of the second regular conference and the resulting plans. He cited numerous achievements under the party’s leadership, including progress in sustainable peace, sectoral reforms, food self-sufficiency, and the development of large-scale projects.
Nebiyu expressed his commitment to strengthening the party, fostering unifying coalitions, and enhancing efforts towards sustainable peace-building. He also set an ambitious target of achieving an average economic growth rate of 8.4 percent, building on the successes of previous years, starting in the current year.
