Addis Ababa, April 4, 2025 (FMC) – The Ambassador of Ethiopia to Russia, Genet Teshome, has extended an invitation to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI) to visit his country and explore investment opportunities in the East African nation.
Strengthening ways of promoting investment opportunities was the main focus of a discussion between Ambassador Genet and President of RG CCI Mr. Sergey Katyrin and other senior officials of the Chmaber in the Russian capital on April 3, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Moscow.
On the occasion, both sides exchanged views on ways of strengthening the business activities, information exchange platforms, and ways of promoting business ties between Ethiopia and Russia.
Ambassador Genet highlighted the conducive investment environment in his country and the incentives provided by the government for foreign investors.
Subsequently, he appealed for the support of the leadership of the Chamber in jointly undertaking promotion activities in priority areas.
Ambassador Genet also encouraged the President of the Chamber and other officials to visit Ethiopia and explore business opportunities in various sectors.
On his part, Mr. Sergey Katyrin underscored the importance of conducting business promotion activities by the Ethiopian Embassy in collaboration with the Chamber, aimed at introducing Ethiopia’s investment potentials.
