The 4th P4G Summit commences in Vietnam this week

Addis Ababa, April 14, 2025 (FMC) – The 4th P4G (Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030) Summit kicked off in Hanoi, Vietnam, on April 14th, 2025.

The summit, which runs until April 17th, focuses on “Sustainable and People-Centered Green Transition”. The event is said to be is the first multilateral high-level conference in the field of green growth, green transition, and sustainable development hosted by the Southeast Asian nation.

The Summit is expected to bring together around 800-1,000 delegates from over 50 countries, international organizations, and businesses, including heads of state and government of various countries. Many high-ranking leaders from countries and partners, including the UN Deputy Secretary-General, three Prime Ministers, and several Deputy Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers are expected to visit Vietnam and attend the summit.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is also expected to participate in this global event, according to a report from Vietnamese newspaper ‘Viet Nam News’.

The summit aims to showcase climate startups, facilitate investment, and discuss policies for public-private partnerships and green transition.

The summit is expected to adopt the Hanoi Declaration, strongly affirming commitments to green and sustainable growth with people at the centre, and a determination to collaborate responsibly in addressing current global challenges.

Moreover, the success of this summit will provide values to all stakeholders, helping the international community find more effective solutions to global challenges and achieve tangible results in fulfilling sustainable development goals (SDGs).
