AUC Chairperson holds talks with South Sudan FM on advancing peace

Addis Ababa, April 17, 2025 (FMC) — Chairperson of the AU Commission (AUC), Mahmoud Ali Youssouf had a fruitful exchange with Monday Semaya K. Kumba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan.

Discussions focused on advancing peace & security in South Sudan, with an emphasis on regional efforts to reinvigorate the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.

The meeting reaffirmed the AU’s commitment to accompanying South Sudan on its path toward a peaceful & inclusive transition.
