Corridor dev’t in Sidama region being implemented in three phases

Addis Ababa, February 8, 2025 (FMC) – The corridor development program in Sidama region is being implemented in three phases to revitalizes urban and rural parts of the region, according to the latest social media post by the Office of the Prime Minister-Ethiopia.

Through its latest visual series, the PM Office is showcasing the works undertaken and ongoing projects under the corridor development program across all regions of the country.

Apart from Hawassa city, corridor development activities are expanding to several parts of the Sidama Region, the PM Office mentioned, pointing out that the development in this region is being carried out in three phases.

The initial phase has already begun in two locations, with one of the projects officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and now open to the public.

This newly launched corridor development includes 2.4 kilometers of pedestrian pathways and bike lanes, as well as a children’s playground and various recreational and sports facilities.
