Deputy PM Temesgen receives Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee

Addis Ababa, April 24, 2025 (FMC) – Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Temesgen Truneh has welcomed Mr. Gao Yunlong, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and his delegation, to Ethiopia, today.

The discussions between the Ethiopian Deputy PM and the Chinese delegation focused on deepening investment, economic development, and trade cooperation between Ethiopia and China.

Gao Yunlong commended Ethiopia’s ongoing development activities, especially our capital Addis Ababa, and told me that Addis Ababa has changed significantly.

He also stated that Ethiopia is attractive to Chinese investors in the investment sector.

“We reached a strong consensus to further enhance the all-weather strategic partnership between our two countries—one that remains steadfast and resilient, particularly in the economic sphere,” Mr. Temesgen noted on his social media channels after the discussions.
