Ethiopia, China to deepen strategic cooperation in key sectors

Addis Ababa, January 24, 2025 (FMC) – An Ethiopian delegation led by Finance Minister Ahmed Shide met with Mr. Chen Xiaodong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the  People`s Republic of China at the headquarters of the Ministry.

The discussion primarily focused on the implementation of the consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries during their successive bilateral meetings held in 2023/24 and the agreements signed during these meetings.

The two officials emphasized on the importance of implementing the consensus reached between the two leaders, the agreements signed, and the 2024 action plan to deepen the strategic cooperation between the two countries in areas such as infrastructure development, investment, trade, and others.
