Ethiopia elected as member of the AU Peace & Security Council

Addis Ababa, February 12, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia has been elected as a member of the African Union Peace and Security Council during the election held at the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, which commenced today in Addis Ababa.

The election recognizes Ethiopia’s contributions to peace, security and development across the African continent, according to the East African nation’s foreign ministry.
