Ethiopia, Somalia agree on the need to upscale ties

Addis Ababa, February 13, 2025 (FMC) — State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mesganu Arga Moach, held talks with his Somali counterpart, Ali Mohamed Omar, this afternoon on the sidelines of the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union.

The two sides noted that the bilateral relationship between the two countries has shown progress following the signing of the Ankara Declaration.

They also agreed on the need to upscale ties particularly on trade and investment through a joint ministerial commission.
