Ethiopian Community in Djibouti renews commitment to GERD with significant bond contribution

Addis Ababa, March 10, 2025 (FMC) — The Ethiopian Community Association in Djibouti has made a significant bond contribution to support the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), purchasing bonds worth 2.7 million Djiboutian francs, the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti announced today.

The Embassy noted that the community has long been actively involved in various development and social support initiatives in Ethiopia, playing a key role in advancing national progress.

This year, the community renewed its commitment by presenting this substantial bond purchase to the Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, demonstrating their continued dedication to the success of Ethiopia’s grand development projects.
