Ethiopian delegation participating in the World Governments Summit in Dubai

Addis Ababa, February 11, 2025 (FMC) – High-level Ethiopian delegation led by Mr. Adem Farah, Head of the Democracy System Building Coordination Center with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President of the ruling Prosperity Party, is participating in the World Governments Summit in Dubai.

Recall that Mr. Adem and his delegation arrived in Dubai on Monday ahead of the Summit. Minister of Agriculture Mr. Girma Amente and Minister of Innovation & Technology Mr. Belete Molla are also part of the delegation that travelled to Dubai this week.

Upon their arrival at Dubai International Airport, the delegation was welcomed by senior UAE officials, Ethiopian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Oumer Hussein, and diplomats.

The Ethiopian delegation is expected to participate in high-level bilateral and multilateral meetings, panel discussions, and interactive side events.

Digital transformation, effective policymaking, citizen participation, sustainable development, water and irrigation use, and public service delivery are the main focus areas of the World Governments Summit 2025.

At the opening of the event, it was noted that consultations were held on global threats and opportunities that develop government governance capacity.
