Ethiopian peacekeeping force is performing its duty with excellence – UNMISS

Addis Ababa, February 26, 2025 (FMC) — The Force Commander of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Lieutenant General Mohan Subramanian said that the Ethiopian peacekeeping force is performing its duty with excellence in South Sudan.

This remark was made during a medal ceremony held for the 19th Motorized Battalion of the Ethiopian Peacekeeping Force in South Sudan.

The Force Commander said on the occasion that the Ethiopian peacekeeping force is strong, resilient and is performing its assigned mission with excellence.

He said that the Ethiopian army’s comprehensive support to the people of South Sudan also confirms its popularity.

He said that the Ethiopian army has proven in South Sudan that it is capable of carrying out its duties in the best possible manner in any peacekeeping mission.

The battalion commander, Colonel Alemu Kinkina, expressed his happiness that the members of Ethiopian peacekeeping force had fulfilled their duties and qualified for the medal day.
