Ethiopia’s success is built on the strength of its institutions –Deputy Premier
Addis Ababa, February 18, 2025 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s success is built on the strength of its institutions, according to the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Temesgen Truneh.
The significance of strong institutions for the nation’s development and its success was highlighted by the Deputy PM while presiding over the mid-year performance review of institutions under the Prime Minister of Ethiopia’s supervision for the 2024/25 fiscal year.
Over the past six years, our government has placed a strong emphasis on institution-building,” Mr. Temesgen noted on his social media page after the review meeting.
In particular, institutions directly accountable to the Prime Minister have been strengthening their structures and making significant contributions to national development, the Deputy Prime Minister asserted.
“The progress achieved in the political, economic, and social spheres over the last six months reflects the capacity of our institutions to deliver results,” he underscored.
Moving forward, these institutions must prioritize speed, quality, competition, and collaboration to sustain Ethiopia’s ambitious development trajectory, Mr. Temesgen emphasized.
