FM Gedion holds talks with counterparts from Morocco, Tunisia
Addis Ababa, February 12, 2025 (FMC) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Gedion Timothewos held discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita; and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, Mohamed Ali Nafti, on the margins of the 38th African Union Summit.
During talks with his Moroccan Counterpart, Dr. Gedion underlined the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations. To this end, the two sides have agreed to hold Joint Ministerial Commission meeting.
Discussions between Dr. Gedion and the Tunisian Foreign Minister focussed on ways of enhancing bilateral ties, including cooperation on trade and investment, particularly on Energy, ICT and Education sectors.
They have also agreed to work closely on continental issues of peace and security. The Ministers further agreed to conduct Joint Ministerial Commission meeting at the earliest possible opportunity.
