Galentic Pharma India Pvt. Ltd. expresses interest to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, February 5, 2025 (FMC) – Zeleke Temesgen (PhD), Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), met with Galentic Pharma India Pvt. Ltd. representatives today to discuss potential investment and collaboration.

Galentic specializes in sterile ophthalmic and dermatological products, operating two manufacturing facilities in India and exporting to over 40 countries.

Commissioner Zeleke expressed strong interest in Galentic’s potential investment, highlighting Ethiopia’s commitment to a favorable investment climate and sustainable pharmaceutical industry growth.

Galentic Board Director, Jay N Mehta, presented the company’s capabilities and explored collaborative opportunities, focusing on how their expertise could benefit Ethiopia’s healthcare sector. Both parties expressed optimism for future partnerships.
