Landslide in Saba Boru District claims eight lives

Addis Ababa, February 4, 2025 (FMC) – A tragic landslide in the Saba Boru district of the Guji Zone, Oromia Region has resulted in the deaths of eight individuals engaged in traditional mining.

The incident took place at approximately 3:00 PM yesterday, as confirmed by Ashenafi Danko, Head of the Seba Boru District Communication Office, in an interview with Fana Digital.

Rescue efforts are currently underway to recover the bodies of those who perished beneath the collapsed earth.
