MOU signed for establishment of DESSU Corridor Authority to strengthen regional integration
Addis Ababa, February 27, 2025 (FMC) — A Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Djibouti-Ethiopia-South Sudan-Uganda (DESSU) Corridor Authority has been signed today, the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti disclosed in a social kedia page.
According to the Embassy, the Ministerial Meeting on the Establishment of the DESSU Corridor Management Authority, which began on Tuesday, concluded this evening with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Djibouti-Ethiopia-South Sudan-Uganda (DESSU) Corridor Authority.
The ministerial meeting has been engaged in extensive discussions on the draft Memorandum of Understanding at the Technical Committee level.
Extensive discussions have been held at the Joint Technical Committee level on issues leading to the establishment of the Ethio-Djibouti Corridor Management Authority.
The establishment of the corridor will help strengthen regional integration by creating infrastructure links, expanding cooperation and enhancing economic growth among the participating countries.
