Nat’l Conference on Youth Peace and Security kicks off

Addis Ababa, February 4, 2025(FMC) – A national conference on youth peace and security has kicked off at Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa this morning.

Organized jointly by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Women & Social Affairs (MoWSA) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Conference is being held under the theme “Youth as Agents of Peace”.

The opening session is being attended by MoWSA Minister Ms. Ergogie Tesfaye, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ethiopia Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov, UNFPA Ethiopia Resident Representative Koffi Kouame, other senior officials, youths from various parts of the country, representatives of youth and civil society organizations.
