PM Abiy Ahmed holds talks with President William Ruto of Kenya
Addis Ababa, February 14, 2025 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) today met and held talks with Kenyan President, William S. Ruto, at the National Palace, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Their meeting focuses on strengthening cooperation and reviewing existing ties between Ethiopia and Kenya, the Ethiopian Prime Minister confirmed in a post on his social media page.
Following the meeting between the two leaders, the Kenyan president took it to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to praise the Ethiopian premier’s leadership on regional peace and stability matters.
“We value our close ties with the government and the people of Ethiopia. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has, over the years, proven to be a close partner, friend, and brother. We commend his leadership in regional peace and stability,” Ruto underscored.
On Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia will continue working with all the other stakeholders in the search of a solution to peace and security issues, the Kenyan president asserted.
