PM Abiy Ahmed meets with Deputy PM Angela Rayner of the UK to discuss bilateral, multilateral issues

Addis Ababa, February 17, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) met at his office today with Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner of the United Kingdom to discuss key bilateral and multilateral issues.

“Ethiopia and the UK share a long history and deep ties, and her visit further strengthens this relationship,” Abiy said in a social media post after his discussion with Angela Rayner.

He added, “As we look ahead, our partnership will continue to evolve, expanding beyond politics and diplomacy to include greater business and economic collaboration.”

It is worth noting that Deputy PM Angela Rayner of the UK arrived in Addis Ababa earlier today where she was warmly welcomed by her Ethiopian counterpart Mr. Temesgen Truneh.
