PM Abiy Ahmed visits Keegna Beverage Industry in Ambo area
Addis Ababa, March 6, 2025 (FMC) – During his visit to Ambo Woreda, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, along with Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh and the region’s President, Shimeles Abdissa, toured the Keegna Beverage Industry, the Office of the Prime Minister announced today.
Due to commence operations in the coming weeks, the Industry has a production capacity of 3 million hectoliters, as per the PM Office.
They also visited a model kebele in Ambo Woreda, part of the region’s largest devolution of power initiative. As part of this effort, 7,342 kebeles have been equipped with 50,000 professionals to deliver end-to-end services that were previously centralized at the Woreda level. This initiative has made essential services more accessible to communities by establishing kebele-level governments.
Additionally, the Prime Minister reviewed progress on the Dendi section of the Wanchi-Dendi Eco Lodge development. The civil construction phase has been completed, and finishing works are now underway, the PM Office noted.
