PM Abiy appoints members of candidate recruitment committee of NEBE

Addis Ababa, March 31, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has appointed a candidate recruitment committee tasked with selecting members for the Ethiopian National Election Board (NEBE).

The appointment, effective as of March 26, 2025, is in accordance with Article 102 of the Ethiopian Constitution and Article 5(1) of NEBE Establishment Proclamation No. 133/2011.

The committee members are:

Qesis Tagay Taddele – Chairperson
Prof. Teketel Yohannes – Member
Mr. Baye Bezabeh – Member
Yohannes Benti (PhD) – Member
Mr. Kasahun Folo – Member
Ms. Ergbe Gebre-Hawariyat – Member
Ms. Engdaye Eshete – Member
Sebsib Abafira Abajobir – Member
