PM Abiy presides over federal government’s nine-month sectoral review

Addis Ababa, April 12, 2025 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) on Saturday presided over the commencement of the nine-month performance review of the federal government’s activities across various sectors.

Announcing the beginning of the review in a social media post, the Prime Minister stated, “Today, we begin the nine-month performance review of the work carried out across various sectors.”

He indicated that the review would be accompanied by focused discussions aimed at guiding the government’s next steps. “During the review, we will engage in meaningful discussions that will inform and shape our work plans for the upcoming three months,” he said.

While acknowledging the progress made so far, the Prime Minister underscored the need for continued commitment. “While we have achieved considerable success so far, this should serve as motivation—not complacency—to strive even harder and reach greater heights,” he added.
