Prosperity Party and AK Party relations continue to strengthen – Mr. Adem Farah

Addis Ababa, February 24, 2015 (FMC) – The multifaceted relations between the ruling Prosperity Party of Ethiopia and Türkiye’s ruling AK Party have continued to strengthen, said Adem Farah, head of the Democracy System Building Coordination Center with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President of the PP.

Mr. Adem Farah participated in the 8th Grand Congress of the AK Party and delivered a keynote speech.

Speaking at event, Adem said that both parties have taken a step forward in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed between them last month to work together.

Ethiopia and Türkiye have long-standing diplomatic relations, the PP Vice President noted, stating; “By strengthening the relations and achievements made at the government-to-government and people-to-people levels, we have been able to create a favorable environment for further economic, social and diplomatic progress through the AK Party and party-to-party agreements.”

He wrote on his social media page that the strong relations between the parties has been established so that the cooperation and progress made in investment, trade, tourism, education, technology and regional and international issues will continue to be strengthened between the two countries.

At the 8th congress of the AK Party, he congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his reelection as the party’s head and all the other party leaders elected at the congress.
