Senkelle Swayne’s Hartebeest Sanctuary gets a community lodge

Addis Ababa, February 23, 2025 (FMC) – Senkelle Swayne’s Hartebeest Sanctuary gets a community lodge, the Ethiopian tourism ministry confirmed today.

The new facility has been unveiled today in the presence of Tourism Minister Ms. Selamawit Kassa, State Minister Mr. Sileshi Girma, local elders and invited dignitaries.

According to the ministry, Senkelle Swayne’s Hartebeest Sanctuary is a protected area in the Oromia region, specifically dedicated to the protection of the Swayne’s Hartebeest.
