University College upholds commitment to free scholarships for students from low income families
Addis Ababa, February 22, 2025 (FMC) – Hope Enterprise University College celebrated the graduation of 335 students across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs at its 11th inauguration ceremony.
During the event, Terefe Feyera (PhD), the President of the University College, stated that the institution began enrolling students in 2011, with its inaugural graduation taking place in 2014.
Among the graduates, 115 earned Master of Arts degrees in fields such as organizational leadership, accounting and finance, and Master of Business Administration (MBA). Meanwhile, 220 students completed their undergraduate studies in disciplines including accounting, finance, management, marketing management, computer science, and architecture.
The President emphasized the university’s commitment to inclusivity by noting that it provides annual free scholarships to students from low income families and special needs. Of today’s graduates, 18 individuals were students from low income families and having physical disabilities benefitted from the free scholarship. Since its establishment, the university college has awarded free scholarships to a total of 618 students from low income families, according to the President who pledged continued commitment to enable such segments of the community to get access to higher learning for free.
